Living Beneath the Cross

1. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1:17, "Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power." In what way does human wisdom and eloquence empty the cross of Christ of its power? How can we minister, serve, and live our lives in a way that does not empty the cross of Christ of its power?

2. It was said by the British missionary C.T. Studd, “If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him”. Do you agree? If so, how would this change the way you live your life?

3. What does it mean for you to pursue God's way of exaltation rather than the world's way? How would that look like in your own life?
