Your Sorrow Will Turn Into Joy

1. What does “a little while” mean to you? How can Jesus’ perspective on time and eternity offer you joy in the midst of your present circumstances? And how does this perspective help you make sense of what is going on in your life, or in the world today?

2. What is causing you sorrow, weeping and lament, in your life today? How does the promise of Jesus’ birth, His life and death and resurrection, bring hope, peace, and even joy to your circumstances? Do you believe that God keeps His promises? Why or why not?

3. Is Jesus your greatest joy? Can you say, like the psalmist did, “There is nothing on earth that I desire but you.” How is God transforming your heart to be able to say, “Your steadfast love is better than life.”
