Into the Mouth, Out of the Heart

1. What kinds of questions are we asking Jesus? Or others around us? What do these questions tell us about the values, priorities, and spiritual understanding (or blindness) of our hearts and minds?

2. Do we have any traditions that we cling to that aren’t from God through scripture? Are there rituals that we put our hope and trust in that are not rooted in the Gospel and Christ’s work on the cross? How have we come to believe in these things, and how might we confess and repent and ask God to renew our hearts to trust in Him alone?

3. What is God revealing to us about the posture and health of our hearts? Is there ‘heart surgery’ that He needs to do in our lives? What does that look like? What does He require of us?
