Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

1 Peter 3:15

Thought

A few weeks ago, I bought a new computer, and got a pretty good deal on it. I found myself telling others about this deal over the next few days. There was no shame or hesitation, but rather an eagerness and an enthusiasm to let others know about the deal.

How come I don't tell others about the hope I have in Christ with the same eagerness and enthusiasm? I confess I often shy away from sharing the gospel with others because I am afraid of offending them, or am just too passive as I wait for them to "make the first move". One of our fundamental responsibilities as followers of Christ is to tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to multiply disciples everywhere! Let us always be prepared for this awesome mission and to make the most of every opprtunity that God brings before us!

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Give me a deep passion and desire to let others know about your love and saving grace. Give me courage to overcome my fears, my hesitations, and my insecurities. I ask that you would instill in me a boldness and a bravery to actively look for opportunities to preach the gospel, and to share with others about your Good News. And whatever happens, I trust you with the results for you are a good and Holy God. In Christ's name I pray, Amen

思想

數週前我買了部新電腦，價錢非常理想。隨後幾日，我不斷向別人提到這宗買賣，完全不感羞恥或猶豫，反倒熱切地感到要讓別人知道。

為甚麼我沒有這麼熱切地向他人述說在基督裏所得到的盼望呢？我承認自己時常怯於與他人分享福音，因為怕冒犯他們，或純因自己太被動，只在等待別人「踏出第一步」。我們跟隨基督的人，基本責任之一就是告訴他人有關耶穌基督的福音，並在各處使人作門徒，叫門徒數目倍增！讓我們為這個美好使命常作準備，並充分利用神為我們預備的每一個機會！
