[Cantonese Class]

Dear Parents and Students of Calgary Chinese Alliance School,

Welcome back to the Chinese school everyone! The school will start on September 11th, please pay attention to the following items about the start of school.

Class Format
In principle, we will maintain in-person classes. However, if the Minister of Education in Alberta announces the suspension of classes, or the Calgary Chinese Alliance Church implements gathering restrictions, our school will switch back to online classes. In addition, our school will respond according to the actual situation, including reviewing regularly based on the number of active Covid-19 cases in Calgary. When it is necessary to switch back to online classes, the school office will notify everyone via email as soon as possible, hence please pay close attention to the email sent by the school.

Online learning arranges
  • If the school needs to return to the online class mode, the school office will notify you of the arrangement by email, including the online class timetable, class code of each class and other information. Students only need to log in with the google classroom account given by the school during class time. (If students forget their password or need technical support, please contact the school office at that time.)

  • Teacher will record live video. When teachers record live video lessons, the screen will display a list of the first and last names of all students participating in the session. Video recordings may also include student voices, profile pictures, and images on screen

  • Teachers will post recordings only in places that are not accessible to the public, such as Google Classroom, or shared via google classroom email to students. These recordings are intended for the educational purposes of the class and are not to be shared with third parties or students not enrolled in the class. Teachers will delete recordings that include students by June 30 of the current school year
