We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

2 Thessalonians 1:3

Thought

We have spent almost 20 weeks apart from one another as a church. And yet, I sense that my love and affection for you has only grown during this time! There's a saying that goes, "Distance makes the heart grow fonder." How true this can be within Christian friendship and fellowship! This has not been an easy time. But I have heard stories of deepening faith, generous kindness, committed prayer, and acts of service. One thing is now true for all of us, we have something to look forward to! As we grow in our longing for God, I hope we are growing in our love for one another as well.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank you for knitting us together as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Thank you for forming bonds of friendship and relationship that can withstand the challenges of this unprecedented time in history. Would we grow to love God and love one another more, and look forward to the day we meet together again! In Jesus Name, Amen.

我們在教會中互為肢體，卻在過去近20週要暫時分開。不過在這段時間，我感到對你們的愛和感情越益增加！有句話是這樣說的:「距離使彼此的心靠得更近。」在基督徒的友誼和團契中，這句話顯得很真實！這段時間不容易過。但我聽到的故事是，有人信心加深，有人慷慨地施予仁愛，有人更專注於祈禱，有人為事奉作出努力，等等。有一樣事對我們所有人來說都是真的，就是我們俱有所冀盼！我希望在我們越發渴慕神的同時，我們彼此也越益相愛。
