August 8th, 2020

Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:25

Thought

In our Christian journey, there are two important elements to help us grow. One is to walk closely with God through praying and reading His word. Second is to participate in corporate worship with other brothers and sisters. During the early church times, Christians gathered together in person. They worshipped, broke the bread and shared what they had with others. God added Christians to their communities according to the Bible. As we are reopening the church for gathering, it allows us to use another means to worship our Lord instead of worshiping online. I pray that God will continue to bless our church while we are using different ways to worship Him. The most important thing is that we will keep encouraging and worshipping God corporately.

Prayer

Dear Lord, we are in a very difficult time that we have not experienced before. Encourage us to care for other brothers and sisters. Also remind us the importance of worshipping with other brothers and sisters.

思想

在我們的基督徒旅程中，有兩個重要元素可以幫助我們成長。一是通過祈禱和閱讀神的話語與神緊密同行。二是與其他兄弟姐妹一起參加集體崇拜。在早期的教會時代，基督徒親身的聚集在一起。他們敬拜，切開麵包及與他人分享他們所擁有的。根據聖經，上帝將基督徒加入了他們的社區。當我們重新開放教會聚會時，這允許我們使用其他方式來敬拜我們的主，而不是在網上敬拜。我祈求上帝在我們使用不同的方式敬拜祂的同時，繼續祝福我們的教會。最重要的是我們將繼續彼此鼓勵和一同敬拜上帝。
