Lamentations 3:22-23

The book of Lamentations is such an interesting book. Lamentations was written after Jerusalem and its temple were destroyed by the Babylonians, and records the Jewish people's feelings of extreme despair, suffering, and humiliation. In light of our present suffering with the many atrocitiies happening around the world (ie: Covid-19, racial injustice, human trafficking, natural disaster, political corruption, etc. etc.), we can probably identify with some of the despair expressed in Lamentations. But what this book also shows us is that no matter what we may be feeling, no matter how raw or painful, we can bring these feelings before God without fear of rebuke or rejection. Our God is a loving and compassionate God that wants to connect with us, during the good times and the bad times. And no matter how bad things might get, hold on to the truth that God's compassions never fail, and great is His faithfulness.

Lord Jesus, We cast all our anxieties on you. No matter what we may be experiencing or feeling, we know that you are bigger and more powerful than our current situation. You are the one who created the universe, and everything is held together by your perfect power. Help me to place my trust and faith completely in you. In Christ's name I pray, Amen

耶 利 米 哀 歌 3:22-23

耶利米哀歌是一卷很有意思的書，寫成於巴比倫人拆毁耶路撒冷城及其聖殿之後。它記錄了猶太人的感受:極度絕望，悽苦和屈辱。有感於現在世界各地正在發生的多種悲惨事端(例如冠狀病毒，種族歧視及其關連的不公義行為，人口販運，天然災害，政治腐敗，等等)，我們幾可認同耶利米哀歌中所描述的絕望情况。但這書也向我們展示，不論我們感受怎樣，不論是怎麼傷痛，我們都可將這些感受帶到神面前，毋須害怕神怪責或拒絕我們。我們的神是慈愛憐憫的神，不論我們的光景好壞，祂都想跟我們連繫。故此，不論事情怎樣轉壞，請持守以下真理，就是神的憐憫不致斷絕，祂的誠實極其廣大

主耶穌， 我們把所有憂慮卸給你。不論我們經歷甚麼，感受如何，我們知道你比我們現在的處境更大，更有能力。你是宇宙的創造者，你以完美的權能陳設一切。請幫我完全信靠你。 奉基督之名祈禱，阿門。
