Hebrews 4:3a

Today is the first day of school for many school boards in Calgary.  How are parents, students, and educators feeling this morning?  I confess, as a parent of two, and the husband of an educator, the re-entry plans regarding covid make me nervous.  My children will attend two different schools, using different modes of bussing to get there.  My wife will see between 200-400 students a week.  How is a Christian to respond in these pandemic times to very real concerns about health and faith?  Hebrews 4:3a has two encouragements for us.  The first is belief.  Belief is a personal (not impersonal) trust in God.  It is confidence in God.  Are you confident that He is in control?  Are you confident that He is good and provides?  Christians deepen their belief in God's steady, kind leadership of their lives.  The second encouragement is "entering his rest".  This is a deep assurance in his power.  That God has the power to protect, to provide wisdom, to sustain - to do anything to save and defend His people.  So today, if you are concerned about school re-entry plans, take heart.  Have confidence in God.  Rest deeply in His power to save, defend, rescue and save!  If you know students, educators or parents - pray and intercede for them that they would know God personally through Jesus.  Pray that in this knowing a great confidence would take hold and that they would personally experience the power of God's salvation through Jesus.

Dear Jesus, thank you that you do not call me to blind faith.  You are delighted to know my heart and feelings with regards to anything.  Here at this time of covid, I confess my great need for you.  Help me to believe in you with great confidence! You have never let me, my family or community down.  You have great power and authority to save, deliver and defend and you disciple us individually and as a people to have this utter dependence upon Jesus Christ for everything!  We depend on you.  Please save, defend, deliver parents, students and educators from all the aspects of covid-19.  Glory to Jesus, our wonderful defender and Saviour!  Amen

今天是卡加里內許多學校開學的第一天。家長們，學生們和教育者們在今天早上感覺如何?  我承認，作為兩個孩子的父母和一個教育工作者的丈夫，關於新冠肺炎的重返計劃使我感到緊張。我的孩子將在兩所不同的學校上學，使用不同的公交方式到達那裡。我妻子每週會看到200至400名學生。在這疫情時期，基督徒如何應對健康和信仰的真正擔憂? 希伯來書4章3節給我們兩個鼓勵。首先是信念。信念是對上帝的個人（而非與個人無關的）信任。這是對上帝的信心。你是否確信他在掌控中？你是否確信他是好的並且供應？基督徒在上帝對他們生活穩定及親切的帶領下加深了他們的信念。第二個鼓勵是“進入祂的安息”。這是在祂權柄裡深深的保證。即上帝有能力保護，提供智慧，扶持 - 做任何事情來拯救和捍衛他的子民。所以今天，如果您擔心學校的重返計劃，請振作起來，對神有信心。深深地依靠他的能力去拯救和捍衛！如果您認識學生們，教育者們或家長們，請為他們祈禱並代求，他們將透過耶穌親自認識上帝。求主讓他們以這種認識建立起極大的信心，並藉著耶穌親自經歷上帝救恩的權能。

親愛的主耶穌，感謝你不要叫我盲目信仰。你很高興知道我的內心和對任何事情的感受新冠肺炎。在此期間，我承認我對你的迫切需求。幫助我充滿信心地相信你! 你從未讓我，我的家人或社區失望。您擁有極大的能力和權柄去拯救，解脱和保護，及逐一的訓練我們 和待我們為一個萬事萬物都要完全依靠耶穌基督的人! 我們依靠你。請拯救，保護，解脱父母，學生和教育者在新冠肺炎期間的各方面 影響。榮耀歸主耶穌, 我們偉大的保護者和救主! 阿門。
